FAQ

What is a virtual film festival?

A virtual film festival takes film screenings, special events and community interaction and adapts them for the online space.

Video-On-Demand screenings of exclusive, unreleased movies, short films, documentaries and more.

Exclusive video content including masterclasses and interviews with industry professionals and live-streamed Q&A’s with filmmakers.

The chance to learn from industry experts and to connect with some of the world’s top independent filmmakers, distributors and other industry players.

Why a virtual festival?

We have decided to follow the example of many major festivals around the world by hosting a virtual edition of the SAIFF. We endeavor to create a world-class event that celebrates the work of our talented official selection filmmakers while also keeping our audience, our staff, and our filmmakers safe.
